For clinical trials, cell-based therapies like CAR-T, CAR-NK, and apoptotic cells, or any other applications where significant quantities of cells and plasma are required from a single donor. Leukopaks contain high concentrations of mononuclear cells; monocytes, lymphocytes, NK cells. Leukopaks are the optimal starting point for many research and development applications.

The leukopaks are collected in Cell Generation aphersis center in Jerusalem. Cell Generation relies on an extensive, ethnically diverse network of healthy donors for our human PBMCs and leukopaks. These donors are thoroughly screened to ensure they are not positive for a comprehensive suite of infectious diseases and determine eligibility by a medical doctor. All donors are IRB-approved consented donors. For each collection a detailed Certificate of Analysis (COA) is supplied to bring the most comprehensive data set for any research application. Matched autologous plasma is available upon request. Donor requests are available including gender, BMI, demographic elements and specific disease state.

takes every precaution to ensure that our customers receive high yield leukopaks in every order. All processes, from donor screening to the apheresis procedure, follow current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines in order to ensure donor safety, and product high standard reproducibility. All lots undergo routine sampling and testing to guarantee our stringent quality standards are met. These samples undergo a full suite of testing for infectious diseases, fungi, mycoplasma, and more. Additional methods for determining cell count to ensure accuracy are used. A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) accompanies every shipment, showing the results of our extensive quality testing.

At Cell Generation, we collect PBMCs using leukapheresis separation. The process begins with donor screening including eligibility for blood donation prior to the apheresis procedure.

Once the donor passes all relevant tests, a medical doctor reviews their results and grants them eligibility to proceed with the apheresis procedure. Our unique apheresis technique results in highly purified mononuclear cells. All throughout this process, we’re carefully following our quality control standard operating procedures to ensure that conditions remain sterile, and that product quality is maintained.

Cell Generation PBMCs have applications in both clinical and research settings. They play a critical role as starting material for cell clinical applications and research inclusing:

  • Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T, NK applications
  • PBMCS Subpopulations; T, B, NK, Dendritic cells, Monocytes
  • Drug development
  • Cell therapy tissue engineering
  • Assay validation
  • T cell research
  • Mixed lymphocyte reaction assays
  • Cytotoxicity research
  • General immunology applications

For your unique research requirements, we can provide donor requests as needed. Reach out to our team today with the requirements for your experiment, and we can help source the leukopaks you need, including requests for:

  • Specific HLA typing, Class I and Class II alleles
  • Specific demographics, sex, and ethnicity
  • Specific health categories like BMI and smoking status
  • Specific disease state

Cell Generation maintains a strong commitment to ensuring the ethical collection and use of all donor samples. We source our cells from consenting volunteer donors using Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved consent practices. Donors sign a consent form before taking part in the donation program, and industry best practice confidentiality measures are in place to ensure the privacy of all donors.
